U.S. World Cup superstar Tim Howard goes completely shirtless, full blue steel and total tattoo on the cover the latest issue of Adweek, and it is GLORIOUS. The U.S. Men’s National Team’s hero goalkeeper discusses his increased profile and expanded endorsement opportunities in the article, which you can read here.
Tim has never been shy about showing some skin, which we love. Some evidence:

It’s totally cool and astounding to see how his body art has increased in the past couple of years. His front torso doesn’t show any room for more tattoos, but maybe he has some blank spots elsewhere? Yeah, Tim, we saw you nude in the 2010 ESPN Body Issue, but it’s time to give us a fresh look!

The 2014 World Cup in Brazil just keeps getting hotter and hotter — and we’re not talking about temperatures, scorching as they might be. No, we’re talking about the many shirtless players we’ve spotted on the pitch, either celebrating or disconsolate (or consoling one another). Our first Shirtless World Cup Roundup featured such sexy guys as the USA’s dreadlocked Kyle Beckerman and Australia’s veteran hottie Tim Cahill — not to mention the always foxy Cristiano Ronaldo. All three of those studs are home already, but there are many more hunks to check out, including Uruguay’s Martin Caceres (above). Scroll on for the rest of our Shirtless World Cup Roundup (Part 2):

The U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team has advanced to the Round of 16. As an American soccer fan, I couldn’t be prouder. And as a pervy lady, I couldn’t be happier — thanks to these hot celebratory shots taken in the USMNT’s locker room. Lots of hunky American players in various states of undress, including one of the squad’s very sexiest, midfielder Graham Zusi (that’s him clad only in a towel in the front row on the far right). Along with goalkeeper Tim Howard, Zusi was one of two U.S. stars appearing on our Top 50 Hottest Players in the World Cup list. Alas, Howard doesn’t appear in either of these new photos. But we know from previous sexy photoshoots — including his completely naked appearance in ESPN’s Body Issue — that Tim is not the least bit camera shy, so perhaps he was the one who took these pics. (Darn it!)

Of course, the USMNT aren’t the only squad to post nearly nude locker-room celebrations. We are huge fans of the Greece team as well, who shared this pic after also advancing into the knockout rounds.
Yes, that’s the divine Panagiotis Kone in his underwear in the center of the pic!

Lost perhaps in the hubbub surrounding the Bite Felt Around the World and a controversial penalty call was yesterday’s most splendid display on a World Cup pitch: That of Greece goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis getting an on-field rubdown during the match. One of our Top 50 Hottest Players in World Cup 2014, Karnezis was unfortunately forced from the game due to back pain. But since Greece made it through to the round of 16, we have a good chance that we will be seeing much more of this very, very sexy man.
Here’s Karnezis’ injury rubdown in glorious HD screencaps:

Australia’s Tim Cahill (left) and Ben Halloran help us celebrate our favorite part of the World Cup — when the players remove the shirts at the end of the game and swap them with their opponents. What a FANTASTIC tradition! We couldn’t be happier about it. Check out our favorite images from this past first week of the 2014 World Cup tournament in Brazil:

Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) / Neymar (Lupo) / Tim Howard (Interview)
Consider this Top 50 Hottest World Cup Players list your ultimate guide to the sexiest guys of Brazil 2014. We make that claim with real authority, because we just spent countless hours poring over photos of each and every one of the tournament’s 736 players. Yes, even No. 3 keepers and perennially unused substitutes. To be honest, our eyes are crossed from checking out all the beautiful men playing the Beautiful Game!
You’ll find at least one player from each of the participating 32 countries, and sometimes two. When there were ties, we went to our own version of a penalty shootout, in which we weighed such things as on-pitch performance and playing time with predilections for shirtless pictures and overall fine form (in both senses of the phrase).
We resisted, once again, including Cristiano Ronaldo on a list such as this, since he appears on every other post like it on the entire World Wide Web. But he’s not only the best footballer in the world right now, he’s arguably the best-looking player. And, at the very least, we can all agree he is certainly the best man-scaped one. But we also experienced some pleasant revelations on the 23-man rosters, including Japan’s adorable fashionplate Atsuto Uchida and Ghana’s gorgeous goalie Adam Kwarasey. In addition, we are proud to announce that we are doing our part for U.S.-Iranian relations by featuring the Adam Lambert of Iran, the fun and foxy Alireza Haghighifan.
Our sincere hope is that the results of our research lead to every single match holding at least some interest for you — even if you don’t find soccer as a sport the least bit interesting. The World Cup tournament runs through July 13, so you have plenty of time to check out our Top 50 Hottest World Cup Players 2014, both on the field and in these pics:

Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo shows off his perfectly toned legs in training over the weekend. Alas, not is all well with those thrilling thighs. Yes, Team Portugal’s main man suffered a leg injury that is casting doubt on his full participation in the upcoming World Cup. While we’d really miss seeing him on soccer’s greatest stage, his absence would be a boon to our boys on Team USA, improving their chances of getting out of the Group of Death (Portugal, USA, Germany and Ghana). In fact, in our favorite story of yet to come out of the World Cup, a witch doctor in Ghana is taking credit for Crissy’s injury.
